Sock Monkeys

Last craft post for the day. This is a sock-monkey I made back in NZ which made the trek with me to NYC. I made about 6-7 of these but adopted the rest out when I moved.


S and I learned to make them from a friend of hers at work. I love how they are hand-stitched and so show every flaw and can be quite unique - check the uneven ears on this one. Also I like the fact you can show off your cool socks this way! So many cool sock designs hidden in shoes these days...

I won't be making any more of these for a while since I don't have a sewer. But Pengy has been keeping him company, so he is not too lonely.
