Which of these chairs shall I get for my new outdoor area? Yellow would be the option in both cases.

Head-bored

So now that Christmas is over I have been thinking about what to do with my awesome pink fairy lights when they come down off the tree...

Since I don't have a headboard and my room could do with a few more lights I think I am going to craft a "light silhouette" - or rather the shape of a headboard made out of lights, on the wall. I haven't found much inspiration for that sort of thing around but I can picture it in my head.

If I had a cash-injection I would splurge on one of these pretty things...

Acrylics from Myrica Design.

Upholstered from Urban Outfitters, here.

and here.

But as my room has all DIY lighting I think the fairy lights will fit in well.
At the moment I have one of these... (in bright blue)- mine is from Ikea but you can get them from Urban Outfitters here.

And this...

so all I need to make it pretty would be this, right?!

Good plan, good plan.

Christmas Decorating time

It is super cold here in New York this week, and even though I haven't seen any snow (slept in on Sunday morning) I think all the Christmas trees in the streets and the lights going up have put me well into the Xmassy mood.

My first cold Christmas too!

Below is a round up of some fun wreaths I have found inspiring, perfect for apartment dwellers hosting holiday get-togethers.

First off a collection from the one and only Martha.

A fabulous wreaths from Jeffery Rudell on Craftstylish. Scroll down for tutorials on both of the below wreaths.

Tips for making and not breaking a bauble wreath from Pixiegenne, ouch.

Yarny craft wreaths from Katie Rennels

Found these two cuties on etsy (sorry I lost the direct links!)

And finally this knitty one from Craftster Ragstorichesart

Very inspiring, now just which one to choose...
