Craft-spiration

This weekend is going to be a big one on the hook. I have lots of little treats and big birthday presents to finish off so I can do a big mail out (and then a big blog out) next week.

My favourite part of crafting is finding the inspiration, deciding on materials colours and patterns and weaving in the final end (aka finishing). It's the part in the middle (the actual stitching and making) that I get a bit bored with. Especially if it is a big project and it takes a long time.

I really want to start a granny-square blanket, but the ammount of time it is going to take is kinda daunting. Although, at least you get that little feeling of finished satisfaction with each completed square.

One idea was to do every square from the 200 Crochet Blocks pattern book - in complementary colours of course and stitch it all together to make a queen size blanky. Not an original idea, but one that would keep the process interesting? Maybe.

For today I'll just share some craft inspiration I have found from flickr. Afghans for Africa. And some guns. Oo!

Happy Friday!
